Are my wines suitable for your Auctions?
We accept all wines that hold a good resale value. With that being said, all types of wines are accepted under certain conditions such as: quality, provenance and drinkability. We will gladly assist you with the wines you're considering to sell, simply submit the form in the sell tab.
Are their any sales tax?
We are a Quebec based Auction House, therefore all sales are subject to GST & QST (15%). As we sell globally and cannot know of all regulations, we advise you to get informed if any other tax or fees are applicable in your province/state or country.
How do I know the wine has been stored properly in it's lifetime?
Our team of experts inspect every wine bottle that is put up for auction for various condition signs. We do our due diligence to find out provenance so that no client is ever disapointed. All lots are graded and marked in their lot description, you can refer to our "important information" document on the sale page to help guide you thru bottle conditions.
How can I know the condition of a bottle?
All lots are graded and noted in their descriptions using our grading system as well as all photos seen on our auction platform are of the exact lot. Feel free to open the image and verify ullage and label conditions. You can refer to the "important information" document to learn about our grading system. If you have any further questions about a specific lot, feel free to contact us and we will gladly help.
Do you offer delivery or shipping?
Delivery is possible in the Montréal or Toronto area for a $20 fee. If you are purchasing from any other region or country, please note that clients are responsible for all shipping arrangements as well as any duties, taxes, or other fees associated.
Certain states or country may have limitations on alcohol importation, Crystal is not responsible for obtaining shipping permits or licenses. We strongly advise our customers to investigate their personal situation before using our platform.
How do we store the bottles?
All wine and spirit consigned to Crystal is brought to our offices and stored in a protected environment. Our bottle storage arrangements meet the best standards of storage conditions and is approved by the SAQ.
Can I pick up my orders?
In order to accommodate your order, we ask that you book your appointment no less than 48 hours prior to your desired pickup time by contacting info@crystalauctions.ca. Customers should note that photo ID and a copy of the customer invoice must be shown before the product will be released. Any third party assigned by the buyer to pick up their shipment must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice and a letter authorizing the release of goods to that third party.
Are there any fees?
Crystal charges 20% buyer's premium on all hammer prices. Buyer's premium and applicable taxes are added to the hammer price.
